Digital Xeikon klar i Canada

Etiketproducent tilføjer digital farvetrykmaskine til sit setup for at kunne levere høj kvalitet i mindre volumen til virksomheder i den atlantiske region i Canada (på engelsk)

Xeikon, an innovator in digital color printing technology, is pleased to announce that Access Labels, Inc. a leading label producer based in Nova Scotia, Canada, has adopted the Xeikon 3030 digital color press.

Access Labels is using the new press to supplement their flexo equipment, expand into new markets, and better service the demands of their customers.

Since 1993, Access Labels has serviced customers from their Atlantic Canada based facility. Over the years, the company continues to grow and expand its capabilities in the label markets it serves. To keep pace with that success, Access Labels decided to make the move to a digital press.

Robert Sams, who leads business development for Access Labels says,

- From our location in Atlantic Canada, we provide a robust product line and the high level of our service customers have come to expect. To keep pace with the needs of this loyal customer base – and to help us grow into new markets – we needed to move into digital.

For Access Labels, the move to digital meant adopting the Xeikon 3030.

The right digital press for the opportunity

The Xeikon 3030 is the narrow web entry-level press that is part of the Xeikon 3000 Series. It was developed for label converters like Access Labels who want to expand their business into the digital production of labels. In addition to prime label applications, the press is also suitable for producing promotional and transfer applications.

The Xeikon 3030 offers a high level of productivity due to its full rotary printing, which is independent of the number of colors being printed and the repeat length of the label. It also offers true 1200 x 3600 dpi imaging resolution, with a media width of up to 13 inches, and can handle a variety of substrates without pre-treatment or priming.

Short run, high quality labels

Adopting the Xeikon 3030 has enabled Access Labels to become the first full service label provider in Atlantic Canada. The company has expanded their business to include the high quality, short run, prime label production jobs.

Robert Sams continues:

- Our customer base includes many specialty food providers who demand high quality labels, including vineyards, seafood providers, and dairies. Previously, we were unable to be competitive with prime labels, but since adopting the Xeikon 3030, our customers now have access to all our expanding product offerings under one roof. This growth would not be possible without the Xeikon 3030.

Said David Wilkins, Vice President Sales and Marketing US and Canada at Xeikon:

- Access Labels is an example of what can be accomplished when you combine our digital printing capabilities with a customer’s innovation and commitment. Xeikon label solutions offer a combination of print quality, flexibility, versatility, and productivity. It is gratifying to see how these features have supported Access Labels and their customers.
