LABELLING M-real Speciality Papers has launched a new portfolio of label and flexible packaging papers, all produced at the Zanders Gohrsmühle Mill in Germany to the highest quality standards. The collection contains products ideal for all labelling and packaging applications in the beverage, food and consumer goods industries, including a new flexible packaging paper, Zanflex; the new Zanlabel range; and the market-leading cast-coated label range, Chromolux.

With the expanded range, M-real Speciality Papers becomes the only paper manufacturer in Europe to offer such a broad choice of label and flexible packaging papers. A long tradition of papermaking and vast expertise in coating technologies is held by the Zanders Gohrsmühle Mill, which holds certifications that include FSC and PEFC; ISO 22000 and EN 15593 hygiene standards; and ISEGA certification for direct food contact (for Chromolux, Zanlabel gloss and Zanflex).

New Zanflex has been especially developed for flexible packaging and has outstanding processing properties in conversion technologies such as extrusion coating, heatsealing and lamination. Its double-coated surface provides excellent printing results, 2 (3) equivalent to using an art paper. Zanflex is particularly suited to applications such as foods, drinks, dairy products, confectionery and pet foods.

With the Zanlabel family, M-real is able to offer a new product range of label papers for different applications, all characterised by excellent printing results and outstanding labelling properties. The range includes:

• Zanlabel gloss, a double-coated label paper with an extra smooth

surface that guarantees superior printing and finishing results. It is

available in non wet-strength (NWS), light wet-strength (LWS), wetstrength (WS) and caustic resistant label paper.

• Zanlabel pure is a true premium uncoated label paper for a traditional and natural look. It has outstanding printing, finishing and labelling properties. It is a wet strength and caustic-resistant label paper available in three different surfaces and two shades: premium and natural white.

• Zanlabel tac is a face stock material optimised for self-adhesive labels, in standard and wet-strength qualities.

• Zanlabel met is a base paper for metallising, also available in standard and wet-strength qualities.

Chromolux is the market leader in cast coated label papers, impressive for its excellent printing and finishing qualities and efficient labelling properties. Its high gloss surface guarantees a look of luxury. It is available in many different surfaces, colours and grammages, with wet-strength qualities included in the

range.

The move by M-real to concentrate all label and one-sided paper production at the Zanders Gohrsmühle Mill follows its decision to invest in extra folding boxboard capacity at its Simpele Mill in Finland and close its paper machine

there.
