PLASTIC PALLETS Craemer, a leading pallet producer and service provider in Europe, is presenting its new products and solutions for the logistics and packaging industry at the international CeMAT Fair for Intralogistics in Hanover/Germany (02-06 May).

Innovative pallet logistics with added value

As a market leader as well as a chief driver of innovation Craemer is setting new benchmarks in half pallets logistics. With the new environmentally friendly ECOmax, Craemer has succeeded in developing the first plastic half pallet that focuses on more sustainability and added value in logistics. In contrast to the Düsseldorf wooden pallet, the ECOmax offers an environmentally friendly solution with a single material with a longer life and therefore reduced CO₂ emission. As it is 25% lighter in weight than the classical wooden pallet, transport costs are lower and there is less risk of injuries when handling the pallets. High functionality, load capacity and process reliability on all standard conveyor systems are the hallmark of Craemer’s innovative half pallet logistics as are the use of high quality, pure recyclable materials and the universal applications of the entire supply chain. The results of recent practical product tests at the Fraunhofer Institute confirm the high quality claims as well as the higher capacity of the ECOmax pallet as compared with the Düsseldorf wooden pallet.

Logistics Leadership with Palpool

With the Palpool service Craemer offers a web-based solution for the economical renting of pallets, based on RFID technology, Palpool allows pooling of high quality, individualized plastic pallets for closed-loop environmentally friendly systems. Handhelds, internet portals and RFID tagged plastic pallets offer the basis for a transparent, comprehensive accounting system which allows the tracking of all booking processes and stocks in real time. Palpool allows our customers to reduce their stock of load carriers in a closed-loop system by up to 20%. The logistical process with integrated monitoring guarantees 100% transparency of costs and stocks, and all this at a 0% ratio. Numerous user examples of well known manufacturers of branded goods support the environmentally friendly, reliable and cost effective service of this system. Customer studies relating to the cost-effectiveness of Palpool have shown that a cost saving potential of about 30% in three years can be achieved with an active use of the system.

Optimizing Processes with Palcontrol

Palcontrol has been developed by Craemer as an innovative instrument in intralogistics for the optimization of the flow of goods on half pallets. Monitoring and controlling pallet traffic with complete traceability thanks to RFID technology guarantees reliable data management. Customers can easily integrate Palcontrol into their own systems. From the initial consultation to the delivery of the load carriers and the integration into existing systems, Craemer and their experienced system partners offer their customers in trade and industry complete solutions of the highest process reliability that are tailored specifically to their needs. The pallets with integrated transponders used by Palcontrol represent excellent reusable solutions and are ideal for the use of state-of-the art RFID technology.

Product Innovations:

1. TC-New quality standards for closed deck pallets

The closed deck pallet TC1 in Euro pallet format of 1200 x 800 mm is the latest product innovation presented by Craemer. This TC pallet is the very first closed deck plastic pallet available on the market that remains completely sealed even in harshest conditions thanks to newly developed welding methods. This patented process is once again proof of Craemer’s renowned quality. The larger TC pallet of industry format TC3 has already been tested and has demonstrated its enormous efficiency in operation during the recent 1.5 years in various industries and applications.

2. The new ultra lightweight among the industry pallets

Another new product is the D lightweight pallet for universal applications, an ultra light, high quality reusable pallet with high load bearing capacity. With a net weight of only 14 kilos the D pallet in its “light load version” as a regenerated pallet has a load bearing capacity of 400 kilos in a high-rack system. The D-pallet is ideal for a multitude of applications as it is extremely flexible, from a solid basic version right up to an extremely robust load carrier which - in its high load version with reinforcement profiles – can carry up to 1250 kilos in high shelving racks As light pallet in the environmentally friendly regenerated version, the D pallet has for example been used in the World Food Programme, while the heavy duty load pallet with metal profiles are being used increasingly in the automotive sector of customers like PSA.

3. Plastic Pallets as tailored solutions – with Craemer a standard

The growing complexity of logistical processes requires more and more high quality plastic pallets of special measurements. Craemer has adapted to these customer requirements in a flexible, constructive manner Thus plastic pallets are available in all possible special dimensions. Whether longer, wider or shorter versions are required –everything is available quickly and easily due to our butt welding process. Our welding stability standard is close to that achieved by injection moulding. Butt welding methods also allow for further options, for example welding on additional edges and frames. All this offers the highest possible flexibility so that we can provide our
